A few thoughts
So, those pictures I posted below… they’re pretty awesome and I’m so glad to see them! This is a topic that has really been on my heart a lot lately.
Sex is such a beautiful thing. Sex is meant to unite two people and cause them to become one; marriage is the paper contract, but sex is what ultimately should marry people. However, in todays world it has become a … disgusting act. Rape being the biggest culprit.
I’m so sickened and broken hearted over how common rape seems to have become. I see it and hear it over and over again. Women AND men who have done and said nothing wrong have been victimised by evil people who have no regards for anyone else. Why are we not making this a bigger deal? I mean really! This is such a huge deal and we put these sex crimes at the same level of a child who has stolen cookies from a cookie jar; there is a nice little slap on the wrist and a “don’t do it again” (or maybe I should say, “don’t get caught again”) and that’s it. How can we sit by idly and let this be a thing?
It really breaks my heart.
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
I wonder, do people who rape hate themselves so much that they disregard the wellness of others? I don’t know. I’m just a girl, ranting.
